the diner sign's flicking like it could break

and i guess that we will all come undone

just sitting alone in this beat down cafe

waiting on something or someone

and there's something bout the way small town lights fade

when you're watching em go with your heart full of blame

they ain't burn too bright, just a dim, stubborn glow

but they keep you thinking of things better left alone
